An adult-gerontology acute care nurse practitioner is a specialized provider who cares for adolescents and adults with acute, critical, and complex chronic illnesses or injury. The scope excludes children before puberty and management of pregnancy.

An initial consultation begins with a full history and physical, followed by labs, imaging, and/or other diagnostic workup when indicated by the individual case.

No. Laboratory testing is billed separately. Depending on the complexity of your case, labwork may range from approximately $300 to $2,500. The practice does not add a markup to laboratory charges, so there is no financial incentive to order more testing than your case requires. What we would pay is what you pay. Ongoing laboratory testing may be covered by many Medicare and commercial insurance plans.

Yes. There is a 20% discount for minors ages 11–17 on consultation and membership when a parent is under care.

Yes — virtual visits are a normal part of ongoing care for established patients.

Jason is licensed in Arizona and registered as an out-of-state telehealth provider in Florida. If you live elsewhere, you're welcome as an in-person patient in Scottsdale — many of our patients travel in. Phoenix Sky Harbor is a straightforward drive, and Scottsdale Airport is closer still for private aviation. Telehealth follow-up is available in Arizona and Florida and may be available in other areas depending on the licensing rules governing where you are located.

Yes. Jason holds an active DEA registration and an Arizona license, and prescribes controlled substances when clinically appropriate following an adequate evaluation.
